The Warrant Report November 23, 2011 One to Three Years Left in Gold’s Run We realize not all investors are interested in warrants but all investors must remain focused on where we are in the grand scheme of the resource bull market. Some ETNs Could Become Worthless…

The Warrant Report November 14, 2011 Some ETNs Could Become Worthless… In this issue: Some ETNs Could Become Worthless This Video Says It Well, in my opinion….. Some ETNs Could Become Worthless A friend and fellow newsletter writer at The Speculative Investor, Steve Saville had a good write up and explanation on the ETNs, Exchange Traded Notes. We agree with Steve’s opinions and want to share with you as well. ….”In previous commentaries we said we would steer clear of ETNs (Exchange Traded Notes) due to heightened credit risk. Unlike ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds), which are backed by shares or commodities or bonds or futures contracts, ETNs are backed by the credit-worthiness of a financial institution and likely be worthless if that institution went bankrupt. Rather than try to figure out which ETNs are supported by financially-solid institutions and which ones aren’t, we have decided to avoid all ETNs. A recent article discussing ETN risk can be found HERE. “ This Video Says It Well, in my opinion I received a link to this video from a subscriber and would like to share. We have been talking about this strength for a while now and express more of our views and where we are going in my latest interview with Ellis Martin of The Ellis Martin Report. This is an important and timely piece. http://www.ellismartinreport.com/ The Skinny On Warrants We recently shared this information with you but if you did not take the time to view here it is again. We were attending an investment conference and Al interviews me and my relatively new service at the time, Precious Metals Warrants. In 2008, we were just that, warrants and our warrant database. We have come a long way since then and cover much more in our services, including following insider trading and “A Look Over My Shoulder”, Dudley’s entire portfolio. This video as it appears on YouTube gives a great overview of warrants, what they are and why any investor should consider including warrants in their portfolio. Sure, it is kind of comical to see ourselves in earlier days, but it is very educational for those even slightly interested in our services and … Continue reading
