Stock Warrant Databases and Great Articles

I have recently added over 20 stock warrants trading on mostly United States companies.
Blank Check Companies
The Securities and Exchange Commission defines as follows:
A blank check company is a development stage company that has no specific business plan or purpose or has indicated its business plan is to engage in a merger or acquisition with an unidentified company or companies, other entity, or person. These companies typically involve speculative investments and often fall within the SEC’s definition of “penny stocks” or are considered “microcap stocks.”
Because of the nature of blank check companies, the SEC does not allow them to use some of the exemptions from the registration requirements when selling their securities. For more information about these exemptions, read our brochure, Small Business & the SEC.
In addition, a blank check company registering for a securities offering may be subject to additional requirements for the protection of investors, including depositing most of the raised funds in an escrow account until an acquisition is agreed to and requiring shareholder approval of any identified acquisition.
A type of blank check company is a “special purpose acquisition company,” or SPAC for short. A SPAC is created specifically to pool funds in order to finance a merger or acquisition opportunity within a set timeframe. The opportunity usually has yet to be identified. SPACs are also often structured to avoid being legally subject to the additional requirements described in the last paragraph. However, SPACs often incorporate many of the requirements or some derivation of the requirements in order to attract investors.
Every Blank Check Company goes public selling a unit which includes a 5 year stock warrant which is why we are interested.
I have done a complete review of all blank check companies in our U.S. databases.
Historically, 16 Blank Check companies have made an acquisition and are so noted in our listings under the Company Name column, including Hostess Brands and Daseke.
For these 16 companies, I have made the necessary adjustments to reflect the correct expiration date of the warrants. For all Blank Check companies there is a 5 year expiration date which starts (not from the date of the unit offering) but from the time of the company making an acquisition. Thus, I reviewed all 16 companies making an acquisition and have linked to the new/press release of the merger at which point the 5 year time period begins to run.
There are still 26 Blank Check companies in our databases on the prowl for an acquisition. Also, I found two Blank Check companies over the last two years or so that did not make a qualifying acquisition and actually returned the funds to the shareholders. In both of these cases, the warrant holders received nothing.
Doing a complete review of course means logging lots of hours of time but it is necessary to assure me and of course you, our subscribers, that our data is correct.
Back to the current markets.
As I write this just before the markets open today, I see the Dow at 20,602,
Gold at $1263 and Silver at $18.01.
Volatility, at least for now, must be our friend and it is providing us with many opportunities for trading and investing.
My preference is to ‘play this game’ with the junior mining shares and/or stock warrants.
However, many investors are finding great opportunities with warrants on the U.S. stocks in other sectors, bio-techs, pharmaceuticals, banking, etc.
