In my recent audio, for my Gold Subscribers, which will be available before the markets open in the morning, on Aug. 19th, I focus on my views of rollbacks known as reverse stock splits. I talk about the bad and ugly aspects because there are no good aspects to be found, in my opinion. Average investors like you and me, invariably lose considerable upside leverage. Even corporate insiders are affected, but they will most likely receive new stock options based on the current market price (after a rollback).
For my Gold Subscribers who have access to my portfolio (Dudley’s Portfolio), I have made additional comments reflecting the total shares outstanding and market capitalization of each of my positions. This may give us a clue as to which companies are more likely to do a rollback in the future.
Gold closed last week at $2508 and silver at $29.02 – both setting up for big upside breakouts, in my opinion. This is a great time to be a contrarian investor but are you taking advantage? Probably Not!
I and most other newsletter writers in the PM and junior mining sector are extremely bullish longer term and I, personally believe the current market environment is giving you a gift. Gold and silver are holding strong and more upside is expected in the short term but many mining shares continue to lag.
